This document explains collection, handling, storage, sharing, permissions, user rights, children’s privacy, international use, policy updates, and contact details for the Crawl Brief extension.
1. Collection
User-initiated analysis triggers processing of: (a) tab URL and hostname; (b) public SEO digest fields; (c) webRequest-derived load sketch; (d) domain for Similarweb; (e) local cache and recent list. Sensitive field values are excluded by design.
2. Handling
On-tab analyzer purpose only—brief domain readout, SEO notes, network sketch. No unrelated profiling.
3. Storage
chrome.storage.local; ephemeral cache; user-controlled deletion.
4. Sharing
No sale. Similarweb API; flagcdn for UI flags; lawful disclosure when required.
5. Permissions
storage, webRequest, activeTab, tabs, scripting, <all_urls> — each tied to documented features.
6. Rights
Uninstall, clear storage, email [email protected] for data questions.
7. Children
Under-13 not targeted.
8. International users
API vendors may process outside your country.
